what does f/o mean? fictional other! it’s a play on significant other, but a fictional character!

are you a pro shipper or an anti? i’m an anti. adults with underage f/os, even if aged up, are not welcome here. i always, always, always err on the side of caution with f/os of ambiguous age, so i may be rather strict about this. it’s for my own comfort.

are you an authority on self shipping? nope! i feel like this misconception happens because of the general nature of my url, but i have no Control over the community. i’m just one self shipper with a moderately sized blog. as such, my own boundaries are not community gatekeeping.

are you okay with villain f/os? yeah! most of my f/os are antagonists, actually. small caveat to that — i draw the line with f/os who are canonically sexual predators or fascists. i am not comfortable with that.

do you have a blacklist? i do not have any triggers, but i do have things that make me uncomfortable: step/blended family incest including jokes, grooming, the name tim/timothy (you are free to interact if this is your name or your f/o’s name, just do not put it in my inbox please. timmy is fine). thank you. also, i’m iffy on sharing my main f/o, so please do not send asks about your own ship with HAL 9000 from 2001: a space odyssey.

how do i use your neopronouns? i use rookself pronouns, which are used like this: “rook loves rooks f/os very much. this blog is rooks. rook wrote this about rookself.” i also use they/them, if that’s easier!
